Description
Original new old stock Bakelite containers for powder like wound powder, talcum powder, foot powder, etc... These are unused containers, which were still wrapped in paper sleeves from the factory. We found these along with many other rolls from a store which closed down during or very shortly after the war. They are a bit dusty, and a lot of that dust appears to be Bakelite powder from when the containers had rough edges sanded down after forming. I am keeping one for my collection and one for body powder. These are not for food stuffs like salt or pepper, the holes are too small and the Bakelite is standard Bakelite which is not the food safe version used in items like the butter dish or canteen cup. They do have the distinctive Bakelite smell.
