Early 5L Anodized Trinkwasser D.R.P.Ang.

Very nice and clean 5L Trinkwasser can with a rare green/yellow anodized finish. This is actually a very early Trinkwasser can, before they started painting them. The finish was a more expensive and effective form of corrosion protection that was phased out and only used for more important aluminum parts like some of the cans for rocket fuel and some optics parts. It is in good condition with just minor wear and scraping. The anodizing is reminiscent of the finish on aluminum MG laffette parts which often fade to this yellow/green color. It has a gasket but it is drying out and cracking. This is still a very nice and usable can. This style of Trinkwasser does not come up often. Very few remain, most were painted over even during the war. The inside needs a little cleaning but it would be very usable.
