FULL Repro Scho-Ka-Kola Container 11/44

New batch November 2019

This is a complete Wehrmacht chocolate ration reproduction. This is as close as you can come to opening an original WWII container of chocolate, but you can feel a little better eating the contents. The container itself is our reproduction cardboard box which is sealed with black tape like the original. Inside are 2 cellophane wrapped discs of Hildebrand embossed chocolate, sealed with a sticker. This is how the chocolate originally came, it was a solid disc not several pieces. You are supposed to break the disc up before opening the cellophane. The cellophane acts both to protect the chocolate and keep pieces from falling when you break up the disc.

*Note on chocolate: I am not a great chocolatier but I do my best to make it correctly and give it the correct look and taste. This is a coffee and chocolate mix poured into a mold made from an original disc of chocolate. The flavor is close to correct and actually reminds me of what scho-ka-kola used to taste like in the late 90's/early 2000's. I feel like the modern schokakola is more hard and waxy than it used to be. Chocolate is surprisingly difficult to work with. It has to be melted and cooled very precisely to get it to harden properly and the process borders on magic rather than science. If the chocolate isn't tempered correctly it may develop a whitish, chalky finish, it is still safe to eat it just doesn't look as good and is a little softer. There may be variation in the taste, texture, or hardness. I only package the good looking ones.
