Description
Original Luftschutz Stahlhelm with a damaged ripped out liner. The chin strap is intact but the main band of the liner is torn where the rivets held it in. The helmet was painted over or refurbished during the war, and they painted around the decals. There is also an odd red and white symbol painted inside the crown of the helmet. Its not a bad looking helmet and could perhaps be repaired enough to be worn or display well. The decal appears to have been de-nazified, but in a way that almost just looks like oddly targeted wear, given the general wear of the helmet. A good starter helmet or project.
