East German Barock typewriter ribbon in its box. Bürochemie Barock is an East German company based out of Dresden - it did not appear to have existed prior to the 1950s. The company supplied most of the writing utensils and office supplies of the DDR.
There is not much difference to war time ribbons. Ideal replacement to complete a wartime typewriter. I would assume the ribbon is a little dry but I have not tested it. I generally have good luck with period ribbon, so I would bet this would still work pretty well.
