Description
Original WWI German aluminum mess kit. Ambos of Dresden 1914. The lid is dented in, the closure is a little loose, and the bail handle is a bit deformed. The inside is actually quite clean considering its from 1914. It does have the spoon mounting pieces which is, in my opinion one of the coolest features of the WWI mess kit. The black paint is the original color. This is a reasonably good example. The enameled ones are more desirable and more expensive but the aluminum holds up so much better.
