  • Description

The price is for a set of 3 Wgr.34 rounds. Just enough rounds to fill a box. This was one of the most common German mortar rounds. The rounds are printed from silver PLA plastic and painted red with the correct markings for weight class and fill dates, etc...  The fuses are printed from black resin and polished. These are copied from an original round in my collection and, as part of my ongoing effort to create safe reenactment usable rounds, these were modified to have a 3/4" PVC pipe inserted through the length of the round to provide additional strength. These fit in original boxes perfectly and are just what you need to complete a display.

I have been gradually improving the file as these have been in production, so every round is a tiny bit unique but all are roughly  identical. As I get the machines dialed in, the quality improves but a lot of the things I am working to improve would probably go unnoticed by many.

All the rounds in this listing have the same markings so that you can fill a box with matching rounds. I will produce eventually produce other models of 8cm rounds with other markings but each type will get its own listing.

Eventually, I want to get the production costs down the where these round make economical sense to use at events. In time I should be able to offer unpainted rounds for about $10-15ea. but that is going to require more investment in my production process  and these display rounds will help me do that. I am working on a spigot type CO2 launch system that can entirely hide inside the 8cm barrel and then fire multiple rounds, safely (safe for the people on both ends), repeatedly, and consistently.  The rounds in this listing actually have all the design elements built in that would allow them to work with this system when it is finished.

Note: PLA is a very hard strong plastic. It is the ideal material for these models however the material does soften enough to be formed at around 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This shouldn't be a problem is most situations unless you leave rounds in a sealed container in direct sunlight on a hot day.
