  • Description

Original Reichsmütterdienst (Reich Mother's Service) porcelain pin. The brooch is in OK condition. A lot of the paint has worn off. There are light cracks. It is still wearable, but is delicate.

Reichsmütterdienst was a joint effort of the Deutsches Frauenwerk (DFW) and the National Socialist Women's Association. Around 1.7 million women were in the DFW and around 2.3 million in the Nazi women's group. They organized so-called “mother training courses” across the country, which were attended by 1.14 million women in 54,000 courses from 1934 to 1937 alone.
