Brown Maternity Blouse

Vintage 1940s / 1950s tan/brown maternity blouse.

MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
Bust - 37"
Waist - up to 41"
Length - 25 1/2"

This style shirt is similar to artist's smocks of the period. It has a tie at the neck and buttons down the front. There are two large pockets. There are remnants of a label.

CONDITION: As-is. Wearable, but with flaws. There are repairs on the edges of the pockets, using material cut from the inside area between the buttons. There is stitching repairs on the collar and on the trim by the shoulders. Some pulls in the material and some light spots. Light discoloration under the arms and wear to the trim on the sleeves. Overall fading - only really noticeable on the tie at the neck as it is fraying and reveals a darker brown color underneath. Whoever owed this blouse must have really loved it, considering how many repairs were made!
