Vintage 1940s WWII American Red Cross knit scarf. These were knitted by volunteers and sent to the troops via the Red Cross. This one seems to have been knitted by an amateur as one end is wider than the other - which makes this a rare item as the Production Corps was supposed to check things over for uniformity. It's interesting that this scarf made the cut at all. Overall fairly good condition - there are some repairs, flaws in the way it was knit and a tiny hole (not very noticeable).
