Description
Melsitt DRGM black Bakelite kidney-bean shaped medical dish (emesis basin). The kidney dish is used in medical and surgical wards to receive soiled dressings and other medical waste. The shape of the dish allows it to be held against the patient's body to catch any falling fluids or debris (when washing out a small wound, for example).
It is in good condition. It measures about 8 1/2" X 4 1/2" x 1 1/2". The photo shows this bowl in a medical book.
