Description
This appears to be a tin for a special soap used to clean lenses like eyeglasses, mask lenses, etc... It is in good condition and contains one vial with a tiny bar of soap in it and a cleaning pad with instructions in German and French printed by the Kriegstechnische Abteilung. The back of the tin has a single H stamped in it, which was sometimes used as a property marking to designate Heer. The tin shows some light wear and age.
I still have not found much information on this tin but I do wonder if it might actually be Swiss. It is almost certainly war time but the dual language instructions are making me think it is possibly Swiss. I have only seen these listed as German Heer, but I cannot 100% confirm.
