  • Description

Reproduction of the infamous German aluminum cheese tubes. Price is for one tube. We have two options available: ADA 1942 or BONA 1944. These are unfilled and the end is left open, so that you can fill it with the cheese of your choice (or seal it empty for a nice display piece). These are meant to be single use and are not resealable, you must cut the flat end off and squeeze the cheese out. The text is printed on, like originals and may have a few slight errors. The size of the tube is extremely close to originals, but is not exact, the artwork was adjusted to look correct on this tube. They measure about 4 1/2" long. These are made from a fairly thick aluminum and hold their shape well, while still being thin enough to cut open and crush. The material is thicker than the original but it was very hard to find the correct style tube in a close size at all, the thickness was really the only compromise to get the right look.

To close the tube you can use tin bender which are basically pliers with a wide flat blade or you can use a small vice. Caution! Sharp edges! The top edge of the tube can be a little sharp, be careful when filling them. We will NOT be offering tubes filled with cheese because of storage and shelf life issues.
