This is the tube part only, the cup (end piece) is sold separately. It is made from a mild steel; not even close to the same steel used on real tubes. The material is DOM tubing for hydraulic cylinders (no seams or weak spots) so it is fairly tough but it isn't exactly proofed like a barrel would be. These could never handle the intense pressures endured by a real tube and the bore is slightly over sized (82.5mm rather than 81mm).

This is a great piece to build your black powder cannon from for reenactments. However, it is a very thin part so damage is possible if mistreated or exposed to excessive force. Be careful when attaching it to your bike. The front side of these turns out very nice but the back side sometimes develops a bubble or two or will sometimes have a little resin added to cover an air bubble. This shouldn't matter as, once it is attached to your bike, you probably won't ever look at the backside again.
