  • Description

Empty reproductions of the Wehrmacht chocolate ration Scho-Ka-Kola cardboard container. Select a year before adding to cart; 1940, 1942, 1943, 1944, or a set 1938-1945. With the complete set, you will be ready for any event, no matter the scenario. Just fill with chocolate and seal with 1/2" vinyl electrical tape (this is the closest to correct widely available sealing tape). These are an economical way to un-farb your SchoKaKola, far better than using the modern tin and way better than putting a sticker over a modern tin.

Shco-Ka-Kola came in an enormous variety of containers (if you get into minute details on printing or container shape/design), the two most notable categories are tin containers and cardboard containers. Both the tin and cardboard were common in nearly every year of production from before the war up to the very end. No, cardboard isn't just a late war thing. I do not believe there is any significance between the tin or cardboard.  These should be reusable for quite a while provided you don't drop it in a puddle or sit on it, moisture won't effect the printing but it may effect the shape of the card board. If you want to get even more life out of it, you may consider spraying them with satin clear coat, several light coats is best (test on one first).

The printing on these is generally pretty good, however some minor errors may get through. Some times the paper will soak up the ink more on a particular box so some of the narrow lines may blur or be more faint.  We sort out any major errors. Our goal was to produce these at a very usable price but if we sorted out tiny defects we would have to charge more. Most turned out really pretty good.
