Description
Vintage 1940s civilian nurse cape with the initials T.U. S.N. on the collar. I do not know what the letters stand for. Named to Miss C. Bobb.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
Neck - 13 1/2"
Shoulders - 16"
Length - 29 1/2"It seems to be on the small side. Dark blue outside, nice bright red inside. These "private purchase" capes were also worn by Cadet Nurses.
It in in OK condition. The seam at the collar is loose by the chain. The front of the collar has a repair. The embroidered initials inside are worn and fraying. There are a few small moth nibbles. It has some dirt and needs a good cleaning.
