Vintage WWII Navy Nurse Corps (NNC) cape. Black outside with marron lining. It is named to K J Downer and dated 5/11/1943. The neck measures about 12" (fairly small).
It is in decent, wearable condition, but it does have flaws. There are several moth bites on the maroon lining. There is wear and fraying by the hooks and eyes at the neck. It does have some fuzz I was not able to brush off. When I first got it, it smelled of cigarette smoke. I have aired it out and I do not notice it any more; however if you are sensitive to smells, you may notice a lingering cigarette scent.
NOTE: The lining is a dark red/maroon color. some photos make it look lighter than it is.
