Vintage WWII US Coast Guard SPARS dark blue uniform blouse.

Nice U.S. Coast Guard labels. This shirt would be worn with a one-piece tie as it does not have buttons for the two-piece necktie. Overall good condition. There is some shine from an iron in places. A few loose strings and some pulls in the material. Some wear around the buttonholes. Some white scuffs on the inside.

This same style shirt was used by both WAVES and SPARS; however the material on the Coast Guard blouse is more heavy duty than the normal WAVES blouses (I added a photo comparing the buttons and the material for reference). SPARS were much less common than WAVES. The SPARS numbered over 10,000 women compared to 86,291 WAVES.
