Women's War Worker Coveralls

Original WWII women's war worker coveralls.

Nice workwear overalls. Nice label: Women at Work Apparel J. C. Penney Co, Marked size 18. Khaki color with gold colored miniature navy buttons. Hidden buttons down the front and snaps at the waist and down the side. The snaps at the side of the waist can be adjusted for size. The top just tucks into the bottom. It is made this way to make it easier to use the restroom (you just pull the top out and unsnap the sides instead of taking the whole thing off). 

Stamped in several places "R-7181". It looks like there was a patch of some sort above the pocket. There are some rust colored specks and some black smudges. Light brown staining in places (mainly on the legs).  A few tiny pinprick holes in the back by the collar. A couple small holes - the biggest is on the side near the waist. The darts on the back of the "shirt" have been taken out (you can see the stitch marks where they were originally sewn). Some loose strings. The bottom of one pantleg has a nick and some fraying. I tried to show all the stains and holes in the pictures. Overall it is still in pretty good condition and wearable.
