I am not sure what the paint might be hiding but it seems like it is in decent condition. This is smaller than the normal coffee jug, which probably has something to do with it being Luftwaffe. A number of Luftwaffe field kitchen items and even the kitchens themselves were slightly smaller than their army counterparts.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese are synonymous with barracks life in the German army. You frequently see them in photos and often drawn into cartoons and comics. I have heard that this was technically the coffee jug while the other jugs without lids were for water. I am not sure that this was a real difference or not.
