I believe this is for one of the PAK gun mounted versions, although I might be wrong about that as a similar version was also used for the MG and, to be honest, I do not think anyone can tell you which optic went with each variation of the late war vehicles. It does share the most design elements with the optics used in halftracks. It is devilishly difficult to dig up reliable information on the subject.

The reticle does appear to be for a heavy caliber, at least heavier than an MG. It is in good condition with relatively clear optics. The box is also in great condition. The rubber eyecup is slightly deformed from years of storage in the box. Maker CXN Serial number 113396. The box appears to be dated 1945 but the last digit is worn off where the optic has rubbed it. The illumination glass for the reticle looks a bit cloudy, but would likely clean up and would probably work fine as is, its only there to let light in anyway. An extremely nice original optic in box, likely more rare than the vehicle it was intended for at this point.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0187/4100/files/WWII_German_Z.F.2X16_German_Halftrack_Periscope_Optic_in_Box.jpg?v=1778442554
