Description
Original late war Gebirgsjäger medical box for the pack saddle. This is the left side. The medical box was split into two boxes, a left and a right that would clip together to hang on the saddle. It could also be worn as a a backpack. It is made from sheet steel with pressed paper board lining. There are brackets inside for 2 shelves which would have also been pressed paper/Masonite material.
The box is a little beat up with some dents, but it is honestly better than most others I see. I don't believe this ever actually left the factory, I found two from the same place, and neither had any stenciling and both were lefts.
