Vintage 1920s / 1930s German Tinct. Belladonn. glass apothecary bottle with stopper. The label is actually a form of enamel which is fused onto the glass permanently. This gives the label a very nice dimensionality, like an old enamel sign. Extraordinary quality for a otherwise ordinary medicine bottle, a beautiful combination.
Belladonna tincture is used to relax muscles, reduce stomach acid and control spasms in the gastrointestinal tract. Belladonna has a high toxicity and is only to be administered in small doses. Overall good condition.
