Machinists Scale Ruler Ball Bearing Plant Schweinfurt

Is it just me or is this just the best little ruler ever? Original WWII era German machinists scale ruler from the ball bearing plants in Schweinfurt. Yes, that Schweinfurt and yes, those ball bearing plants. The Vereinigte Kugellagerfabriken A.G. SKF F&S was the target of some of the most famous allied bombing raids of WWII and due to the combinations of the names and logo it can be dated fairly accurately to the Third Reich period. The name changed after the war and they also dropped the dual SKF F&S by the end of WWII This was a left over from when the SKF bought out Fichtel and Sachs ball bearing division. It is in reasonably good condition and would clean up to basically 100% pretty quickly. 

If you know a machinist, they likely have one of these in their pocket. As far as I am concerned this is the best one. These stout hard little scales are great under normal conditions a perfect balance of hard thin steel and a multitube of little uses around the shop, add the ball bearing history on top of that and its just cool.
