Original German W28 desk phone with the little wall box. This is basically the standard desk phone of the Third Reich. They did eventually come out with another model ,but I mostly see W28's. This one is a little rough. the handset is missing one cap and the other cap is broken. It is a project phone. This phone was so standard that they released new versions of it only every 10 years or so extending even out into the post war years. This is a pre war one. I believe the W38 replaced it in 1938 and then there was a W58 later. I might have numbers wrong there, I have looked at a lot of phones and I am just going off of my very fuzzy memory.
