3D printed reproduction of the Spalt tabletten pill container printed in our new red-/brown resin. Spalt was a pain medication for headaches. The container does fit 4 Bayer round Asprin nicely. The lid slides open. The resin material these are made from is fairly stiff with a little flexibility which makes them quite durable. The color varies a little bit, but is generally red brown to dark brown in color. This is because the dye we use is hand mixed and I am not picky about proportions because "Bakelite" is better with variation. I would not store medication in the container long term, but it would be ideal for keeping a few pills readily accessible for a weekend reenactment. It is close enough to the original that the tops and bottoms are interchangeable with the original.
This pill container has been on my sample shelf for over a decade and I believe I even have silicone molds tucked away from a much earlier attempt at making them. I wanted to wait until I could get the color closer and now I can. Its just a cool little pill container.
