Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918) - also known as the Hindenburg Cross or WWI Service Cross. This award was created by Hindenburg in the 1934 to honor veterans of the Great War (the honor cross was still be awarded as late as 1944). This version with the crossed swords, was given to front line veterans that saw combat. In overall good condition. Maker marked Erbe. The ribbon has pinprick holes at the top.
