Here is a neat piece. An original 1941 German made Dutch typewriter based on the Bakelite Olympia-plana model. Unfortunately, the Bakelite does have some problems. There are a few old repaired (glued) cracks and some newer ones also. Despite the cracks, it does seem very solid. It does work but a few of the outermost keys stick slightly. I believe with just a little bit of tinkering, you could get it running perfectly.

It does have an Umlaut key to do German letters also and the umlaut does not advance the carriage. This key also does a French accent mark in the same way. Probably one of the more interesting typewriters I have found.

The case is a little beat up on the edges and the leather of the handle has separated from the steel band that helps to carry the weight. This was a popular model during the time and the company did seem to make quite a few for various foreign markets in mostly occupied areas. This is also interesting for being Dutch and actually having a date on it.
