Description
Original prisoner of war made aluminum cigarette case from Sepp Rang made in Russia in 1946. A very stout tin. He likely made it home after captivity which was quite rare. Being a German prisoner of war in the Soviet Union was essentially a death sentence via years of forced labor and deliberately poor treatment. Items like this were also somewhat rare for the men to keep; they usually made things like this to trade with guards for food.
