Description
Original Greif advertising ashtray in decent condition. Greif made a number of office products; this ashtray is specifically advertising carbon copy paper and ink refills, although we frequently find typewriter ribbon tins from this company. It is a little dirty with some wear but still rather usable. This was ground dug from somewhere in the east which is where some of the residual dirt probably comes from. Items like this did make it to the front lines. It measures about 5" by 3 1/4".
The advertisement is for Greif typewriter ribbon from the June 27 1944 edition of Völkischer Beobachter newspaper.
