"Ich Hab Dich Lieb" Heart Necklace

Vintage German Ich hab Dich lieb (another way to say "I love you") heart necklace. Decent condition. Unmarked. Some age-related discoloration, but nothing too detracting.

"Ich hab dich lieb" is a less serious version of "I love you" that doesn't have a direct English translation - like "I am very fond of you" or "I hold you dearly." It means more than "I like you". It is a common way to express love and can be used before the official "Ich liebe dich" in a relationship. Although the wording can be blurred even among Germans as far as romantic relationships go - some say its a precursor to "ich liebe dich" and others use them interchangeably. "Hab dich liebe" can be used in romantic relationships or it can also express close attachment and be used in a platonic way with friends and family whereas "ich liebe dich" is romantic love (as in "I am in love with you").
