Description
Original WWI mirror in a heavy wooden box with a slip cover. In memory of Birshi in war year 1916 in Kurland (Zur Erinnerung an Birshi im Kriegsjahr 1916 in Kurland). I am guessing the wood was to protect the mirror in the harsh environment of the front lines. The mirror is actually in pretty nice condition. It is still quite clear and usable. The corners of the wood box have some splitting, but it is still holding together fine.
