Description
I love these. An original German foot/body powder container made from red/brown Bakelite in the shape of a typical Wehrmacht jackboot. It is a fantastic piece of advertising and product design. The top of the boot has a threaded cap embossed with the makers name Pudan. Under the cap is a second threaded cap with the holes to distribute the powder. The actual powder container is a simple cylinder and the extra toe part is hollowed out from the underside. inside the toe is embossed with ges.gesch.d.Wz. and D.R.Gm. and D.R.Geschm.M. Since is has a screw closure it doesn't leak powder quite as much as the normal metal foot powder containers. There is still some powder residue inside. These are quite hard to find; this is only the second one I have found in about 20 years of looking.
Condition: There is a hairline crack down the side of the boot that runs through the Puder Stiefel marking on the side. Other than that, it is a little dirty but in good condition.
