Description
Original WWII American Red Cross (ARC) nurse's aide apron and hat.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
Waist - 34 1/2"
Hips - up to 54"
Length - 44"Chambray pinafore apron that buttons up the back. It is in fair condition. There is some light staining throughout the apron. The top button has some cracking. Small rust speck by the snap (hidden when worn). The hat has stains as well and one corner is torn and frayed.
The Volunteer Nurses' Aide pin could be fastened at the center front of the jumper at the neckline. This uniform was allowed to be worn after the first 34 hours of the Nurses' Aides course (which lasted a total time of 80 hours) had been completed.
