Here's a niche magazine for a very specific topic; Kanu-Sport Faltboot-Sport. From December 9 1939. Includes an article about some of the famous canoeists currently serving in the military. I found this to be a a bit more interesting than most. There is even a photo of a canoeist on a motorcycle sidecar with a film camera because his pioneering work filming canoe sports got him a place in the personal film crew for Hitler; in the picture, he is filming Hitler's visit to Warsaw. There was another letter from a canoeist turned Kradmelder that talked about how much he missed his folding canoe and how all his food mixed together with everything else in his bread bag to form pellets of bread, tobacco, toothpaste, razor cream and everything else. Perhaps he needed a brotdose like those pictured in the camping photo (if the one in the link is sold out, keep checking back as we regularly list them).
The entire magazine dedicated specifically to folding canoes. Germany was really into camping and collapsible rubber boats for hiking even in the 1930's. If you want something besides the typical military magazines for your display, perhaps its time you got into boats.
I was about to make a comment about how politically neutral it feels, like it was one of the few publications that you could escape into - a world of canoe sports without politics getting much involved. Then I remembered this was an official publication of the canoeing department of the national socialist league for physical exercise.
They seem to have published this quite frequently, sometimes multiple times a month. I guess there was a lot to talk about in the Third Reich canoe world, a lot of Canews if you will.
