Description
Very nice, one of a kind Soldatenzeit photo album. The wooden cover is hand painted with some soldiers manning an MG. There is some very faint, sometimes intentionally erased writing in purple. The front says this is how it began 1939-1943, and how will it end? In the back the soldier's unit is written 9 Battr. Regt. 257.
Unfortunately, the pictures have been stripped out of it; at least they really didn't damage the book to do it. You can sort of see where the photo corners were stuck to the pages, but I did not see any tears or holes. Some of the wax paper separation pages have damage and tears which is pretty normal for albums. There is some wear on the ends of the spine.
