Vintage 1950s German wrap apron style house dress.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate): **
Bust - up to 39"
Waist - 29"- 32 1/2"
Hips - up to 39"
Length - 40 1/2"
***dress is an adjustable size. It is very tight on the mannequin (the mannequin's measurements are 40" bust. 32 1/2" waist and 42" hips - I would suggest smaller for comfort and so the back doesn't come open)
Cotton print wrap dress with large pockets. This is East German, but the style dates back to the late 1930s. This could be worn as a house dress or as an apron over top of a regular dress to protect it when doing housework. There is a single button it the back. On the side, there is a special hole to put the tie through; the ends wrap around and are tied in the front. The back sides overlap, but there is nothing to pin them closed - meaning it can open up depending on how you move. Good condition overall. There is stitching on the sides that make it look like the dress was taken in slightly.
Original photo shown for reference. She is wearing it over another dress to protect that dress.
