    Vintage WWII American Red Cross canteen worker uniform.

     

    MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
    Bust - 38" 
    Waist - 33" 
    Hips - 38 1/2" 
    Length - 41 1/4" 

     

    Dress was made by Fruit of the Loom. Marked size 18 (please check above measurements as vintage sizes run much smaller). O.P.A. retail ceiling price $2.80.  O.P.A. stands for Office of Price Administration and was meant to ration items, fix prices on certain items, and prevent inflation during the war.

    The uniform is in OK condition and does have some issues. There is wear around the button holes. The buttons also vary; the top five are one design and the bottom five a different button. There ae a few small snags in the material. Small stain on one sleeve and another near the Red Cross patch.
