Nice period looking Van Der Walle-Tilly Haarlemer Oel kapseln dietary supplement pill tin. I feel like this particular tin is post war but the style of it looks earlier, the product and company are much older. Haarlemer oil was created in the late 1600s in the Netherlands and was originally for treatment of urinary tract infections, gallstones and kidney stones. It quickly became used for stomach ailments and as a dietary supplement for general health. The word haarlemmerolie is now used in Dutch to indicate a fix for all problems. Nice clean pill tin with a small dent in the bottom.
