I obtained this cable along side several related communications bits which were all recovered from a FLAK battery in 1945. After much research, I was not able to establish exactly what this cable is for. It is likely part of the communications or targeting set up for the late war interconnected battery and the plug style is very similar to others I have found that were identified as part of the kommandogerät targeting equipment, but this only has 3 prongs and 3 sockets. The other cables tend to have a lot more than this, but they are made in a similar style. It is crudely made, but extremely in line with what was being churned out in the last months of the war. I think this was probably a power supply cable for one of the targeting devices but that is my best guess. It is in good condition with some corrosion on some of the cable shielding. The plug ends are painted tan over red oxide primer. One end is stamped 23 and the other end is stamped 43.
