An interesting map case in good condition. All of the materials scream war time but I have a slight nagging feeling that it could be an early east German thing. It is a great looking and simple map case. Really more intended to hold a single map in active use, perhaps for someone on a motorcycle or for active navigation. In good condition. No markings.
The strap is the best part. The webbing is Wehrmacht. The clips are rather light duty, perfect for a map case like this. I almost think the strap is probably for something much better. Maybe a flare gun holster or something similar.
