Vintage German traditional knit sweater. Also worn by BDM girls.

Nice black wool knit sweater with dark green and red trim. Metal buttons. Green ties at the collar and at the waist. The waist is tailored in to give it a flattering look. Super cute sweater that gained popularity in the 1930s and was made for many decades after. It was popular with the BDM (Bund Deutscher Mädel - League of German Girls) as well and was an approved garment for certain regions. This particular one seems like it may be post war made. Marked size 42 with a Traunsteiner Trachten-Strickwaren label.
Decent, wearable condition. There is one small hole on the chest (not too noticeable and could be easily mended). Some pulls in the material and piling.
NOTE: The green is much more green in person; the photos seem to give it a blue-ish tint that is not there.
