The uniform is in overall fairly good shape. There are a couple tiny holes and areas of wear on the jacket and skirt. U.S. and army nurse caduceus pins on the collar. 2nd lieutenant rank bars on the epaulets. European Theater of Operations patch. 4 overseas bars, indicting 24 months overseas. Meritorious Unit Award patch. Some smudges on the skirt. Side metal zipper. The blouse has the slot in the pocket for a pen.

The jacket and skirt do not have labels. The blouse has a 32R size tag. The tie has nice labels. Also included is a red cross armband (safety pins still on the ends) with her name on it. The armband has a hole and some light staining. Grouping also included her 1935 class ring. She must have really liked the ring; it is tarnished and very well worn. The inside is marked 10K and Sterling and a maker's mark as well as engraved with her initials ACL. The ring is very small. There are also several extra loose patches: European Theater of Operations, 4 Meritorious Unit Award patches, honorable discharge ("ruptured duck"), and extra overseas bars.

Ada C. Lien was born on September 2 1916 in Greenbush, Minnesota. She served in England and France. She married Elester Eide.
