  • Description

Original unissued German ration sacks from 1944 made from twisted paper cord. These are excellent examples in like new condition. There is some ink bleed over or transfer from having been stacked with each other for so long. You will see a bit of an eagle shadow on the date side or a shadow of the date on the eagle side. just for them being piled together. It doesn't get any nicer than this and, when they are gone, you'll wish you had gotten one. This deadstock stuff is now almost impossible to find. Price is for ONE. All are in essentially equally good condition. There may be some possible light staining that I overlooked, but it definitely wouldn't be anything too detracting.

These sacks were used as a general catch-all for various rations. They are not specifically for horse oats as some have claimed. I have seen them clearly loaded with canned goods and coffee and recently found a good bit of footage showing the bags in use around an army bakery making bread.
