WWI - 1930s American Red Cross screw back men's officer cap badge. Marked NS Meyer Inc. New York. The red cross has some scratches in it. It is a separate piece attached to the eagle and it is a little loose and jiggly. There are 2 prongs on the backside of the eagles wings which were supposed to help keep the eagle properly oriented when installed, but those prongs have been flattened down and it seems like it was intentional. Rather rare piece of insignia.
