Photo and death card lot from August Bous who died in Allied captivity in 1946 at Camp Belfort in France. The writing on the card is interesting. He died from the hardships of war and a broken heart. He did get last rites in Catholic tradition. He may have been executed, but that is speculation on my part as I can not find any information about him apart from what these pictures provide and the wording sounds off. I did find that the church in his hometown still does a prayer for him every ten years or so. He did receive and second class Iron cross and he was a party member. He served in France, Yugoslavia, Russia, and Norway. His civilian photo with his prominent party badge is quite striking. He certainly has the look.
