  • Description

Vintage German traditional jacket made from various uniform materials. The style is more Austrian, but I have seen some of these shoulders on some Bavarian jackets.  This was probably made just after the war from Kriegsschrot. The wool appears to be from army uniforms with black wool trim I am fairly sure the black wool is from a variety of Allgemeine uniforms, maybe panzer. The red pocket lining looks a lot like DAK hat lining or maybe armband or flag material, There was such a variety of fabric for those that is hard to nail anything specific down. The lining is pretty typical for greatcoats. This is an awesome jacket. It is from my collection, and to be honest, I will be just as happy to put it right back in there. It is one of those "you gotta want this one more than me" items. This is what you get when you mix creativity, desperation, art, and history into a garment.

The are a few tiny holes and some light overall dirt / staining. The staining doesn't show up well in the photos. The sleeve has the most noticeable staining. The black trim and some fraying and general wear. Staining inside the lining. There is a name written inside, but it is very faint (looks like maybe Moller?)
