    Original unused VM40 Volksgasmaske 40 civilian luftschutz gas mask marked M for Männer, (men's). It is in its cardboard box with the original filter. The cardboard box is a little tattered and dirty. The mask has some storage wear / dust, but is in good condition overall. There are 2 discolored lenses in the box these are the antifogging part of the lenses which have deformed and fallen off with age. Nice waffen amt stamps. 

    Every German citizen was required by law to own a gas mask and emergency medical supplies in case of air raids and this is one of them. These masks contain asbestos, so they should not be worn.
