Description
Period German Catholic large crucifix. This is a fairly sizable and weighty piece. It is the sort of cross you will see used by Wehrmacht chaplains and they are frequently sold as such. Maybe those people know something I don't, but I believe it is far more likely not for Wehrmacht chaplains specifically, but rather something a civilian item that a chaplain could use. Looking at original photos, there are a few varieties visible. It is also fairly classic in its construction and would easily fit in any time in WWI or WWII. Fairly good condition. No markings.
