Vintage German Private Purchase Shirt

Very nice vintage German civilian or private purchase shirt with the nice pointy collar and very typical German shirt cut. The buttons are mother of pearl which is fairly typical for pre war undergarments. There is a small yellowish stain on the left shoulder, beyond that the shirt is almost new looking. The collar is about 15" or maybe 15.25". Although the chest measures nearly 48" I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with anything more than about a 38" chest. Really great shirt, I just wish it fit my neck.

This would actually be a great shirt for a dummy or mannequin as civilian shirts were very common in the German army and it would be nice to show that in a display. With this pointy collar it would go well with a panzer wrap or Afrikakorps tunic. Really it would work for any branch and nearly any rank. Its just a great example of a private purchase shirt. If you had discovered a complete grouping with a tunic and this shirt was mixed in, no one would question it.
